Whissonsett and District Horticultural Society
Information and Contacts
Whissonsett and District Horticultural Society meet on the third Thursday of the month at Whissonsett Village Hall, London Street, Whissonsett, NR20 5ST.
We are a small but friendly and thriving group of amateur gardeners. Throughout the year we have talks on various garden related topics delivered by a range of speakers.
There are summer and autumn shows, where the competition is fierce but friendly, alongside visits to gardens, a plant fair and quizzes against other local gardening societies.
The current committee consists of Roland Axman (President), Sian Griffiths (Chair), Jill Jarman (Secretary), Jenny Jones (Treasurer), Mary Flook, Cynthia Pate, Vanessa Smith, and Mike Tame.
If you would like more details on our Society or information on becoming a member please contact:
Membership is £10.00 a year due in April. Visitors are always most welcome at our meetings (£2.00 per person).
At our monthly meetings, there is a raffle, sales table, and a flower of the month competition. Last, but not least, homemade refreshments.
