NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C229 High Street from its junction with the C229 London Street to its junction with C229 Dereham Road in the PARISH OF WHISSONSETT because of carriageway surfacing works.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 4th March 2019 to 6th March 2019 for the duration of the works, expected to be 3 days within the period.
Alternative route is via: C234 Horningtoft Road/ Brisley Road, B1146 Fakenham Road/ Main Dereham Road/ Dereham Road/ Hempton Green Road, A1065 Raynham Road/ Gravelpit Hill/ Swaffham Road/ Road From Fakenham Road To South Raynham/ Road from Fakenham Road to Whissonsett, C234 Raynham Road/ Mill Road; and
From London Street – C229 London Street/ Colkirk Road/ Whissonsett Road/ Crown Road, U35098 Church Road, U35019 Market Hill, U14019 Colkirk Hill, B1146 Dereham Road/ Main Dereham Road, C234 Brisley Road/ Horningtoft Road (Whissonsett/ Raynham/ Dunton/ Pudding Norton/ Hempton/ Colkirk/ Horningtoft).
(If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
